We’ve come a long way! In 1996, when Encore Theatrical Arts Project (ETAP) found its home in an empty warehouse, our goal was simple. We wanted to provide a quality dance and musical theatre education to serious students and provide our community with top- notch entertainment. Named as a program for the pre-professional dancer, Encore Theatrical Arts Project (ETAP), was a place to nurture budding artists and give students a performing outlet. And it worked. Many members of our original company have gone on to have successful careers in Dance and musical theatre. From Broadway shows to the Radio City Rockettes, cruise ship performers, professional choreographers and teachers, our alumni have kept true to our initial goal of training dancers who would work professionally.

In the years that shaped ETAP, our shows grew into what we present to our audiences today. We’ve gone from dance revues to full scale dance musicals. Everything from our scripts to our costumes and our sets have become more elaborate. But the goal remains the same. We strive to continue to educate our performers to have successful careers. Whether our dancers go on to audition professionally or to other incredible careers, the experience of being a member of ETAP stays with them.

Over the 26 years of ETAP, we have scaled the Great Wall of China, traipsed through Spain, cruised through Greece, safaried through South Africa and toured throughout Italy & France to perform for international audiences. We have appeared on Fox 5 Morning News with Holly Morris, and performed in dance festivals, including The International Children’s Festival and The Jazz and Tap Festival. ETAP’s annual holiday show has become a local tradition, and we are honored to share our Behind the Scenes program with the Girl Scouts. Each season we are very grateful to the thousands of patrons that we entertain. It is our audience that keeps ETAP growing. We hope you’ll join us for our next production!
