In the past, ETAP launched the Behind the Scenes Outreach Program with Brookfield Elementary School in Chantilly, VA. ETAP enriched the lives of 150 third grade students, each year at Brookfield by exposing them to the magic of Musical Theatre. The students were taught lessons about putting on a production in two in-classroom sessions and attended the final dress rehearsal as a culmination of the program. We hope to inspire these students and continue to expand our program to give the gift of live theatre to other young people in Fairfax County.

Continuing with our outreach program ETAP has developed a behind the Scenes program for the National Council of Girl Scouts. Scout troop members are invited to take place in the Behind the scenes tour one hour prior to each performance. They are introduced to the director, choreographer, scenic designer, and lighting designer who share a brief history and knowledge of their craft. Troops will have the opportunity to  meet some of the cast and get a first-hand look at the production from the performers’ point of view. They are encouraged to ask questions and see how a production is mounted. Over 45,000 scout troop members and their families have taken part in this entertainment education.
